The LuxuRiouS Ladies of Lambda Rho Sigma

ALTOVISE ABNER |

Fall 2006

Soror Altovise Abner was inducted into Theta Epsilon Sigma (Culver City Alumnae Chapter) in Fall 2006. As a very active member of Theta Epsilon Sigma, Soror Abner held such positions as Epistoleus, Rhoer Advisor, Fundraising Chair and Anti- Basileus. She was also part of the committee service committee and assisted with event coordination. 

In June of 2012, Soror Abner became a charter member of the LuxuRiouS Lambda Rho Sigma (Santa Monica Alumnae Chapter). As the Charter Basileus for Lambda Rho Sigma, Soror Abner doubled local membership, implemented creative programming, forged new relationships with community-based organizations within the City of Santa Monica and assisted in the implementation of Undergraduate Membership at both California State University, Channel Islands and Woodbury University. In addition, Lambda Rho Sigma received the Chapter Performance of the Year award after only being chartered for nine (9) months under the leadership of Soror Abner. Not only has Soror Abner held the title of Basileus on two separate occasions, but she has also held the position of Anti-Basileus, fundraising chair, and created the Annual Kickin’ It for Boobs Breast Cancer Awareness Event.

On the Regional Level, Soror Abner has served as the Awards and Achievement Chair and most recently as the Southern California Area Coordinator. She is also serving on the Minutes Review Committee for the 72nd Western Region Conference. As the SoCal Area Coordinator, Soror Abner coordinated a SoCal sisterhood effort at Frat Games, coordinated the SoCal area event for Founders’ Day and executed Soulful Sigma Sunday.  

 

During Centennial Year, Soror Abner proudly became a Life Member and is looking forward to what is next on her Sigma Journey. Outside of Sigma, Soror Abner provides families with an array of services, which include mental health therapy for families, life skills, housing linkages, resources and more. Soror Abner utilizes her management and communication experience, incorporated with her work ethic to effectively support the mission of the sorority both inside and outside of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

FRE'DRISHA DIXON |

Spring 2023

Soror Fre’Drisha “Sha” Dixon was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Lambda Rho Sigma Chapter in the Spring of 2023. Soror Dixon earned her Juris Doctor degree from Trinity Law School in May of 2022. Soror Dixon is a Statewide Coalition Organizer, Public School Education Lobbyist, and Lawyer. For example, Soror Dixon dillingently serves as a Statewide Coalition Organizer for Parent Voices Action. Her hobbies include going to museums, art exhibits, concerts, listening to music, traveling, and volunteering.

LARHONDA PIERCE |

Spring 2023

Soror La Rhonda Pierce was inducted in Spring 2023 into the Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter. She also shares membership with her daughter, Soror Unique Wilson. She earned her A.A, degree in Liberal Studies, Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University-Dominguez Hills, Bachelors of Science in Management from University of Phoenix, Masters of Management from University of Phoenix, and  she is currently in the Doctoral Program to obtain a Doctor of Management degree.

 

Soror Pierce works for Los Angeles Probation as a Transportation Deputy/Vehicle Coordinator for the Department. She enjoys the work he does servicing the community. She currently serves in the Sister Share committee of the LRS chapter. In this committee, she assists to coordinate sisterly bonding events within the chapter to promote com,unity and fellowship. She also enjoys roller skating, camping, cooking, traveling with family, and being a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.

SHANTA FRANCIS |

Spring 2012

Soror Shanta Francis was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. via the Gamma Tau Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Spring 2012. She earned her BS in Health Science from California State Long Beach and her BS in Nursing from Western Governor’s University in Summer 2017.  

 

Soror Francis is a registered nurse and is currently serving as a Rhoer Advisor for the Lambda Rho Sigma Chapter.

PRECIOUS WILLIAMS |

Spring 2023

Soror Precious Williams was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Spring 2023. Soror Williams currently serves as a member of the Sister Share Committee. She completed her undergraduate degree and also earned a Masters of Social Work from California State University Northridge with also an additional Master’s of Science in Clinical Research Administration degree from Walden University.

 

Soror Williams currently provides mental health services to underserved high risk youth populations as an excecutive management professional. She also serves as a mentor to youth with a lived foster care experience, through continual volunteerism with a non-profit organization within the community. Soror Williams life’s goal is to continually be of services, bring hope and foster meaningful relationships within the community.

SUSAN BLUNT |

Spring 2023

Soror Blunt was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Spring 2023.  She earned a Master of Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix.  Soror Blunt provides a technical acumen in the corporate spectrum at American Honda Financial Services, where she supports associate engagement projects.

​

Soror Blunt's career goal is supporting her colleagues in an effort to maintain organizational growth and success. These attributes have motivated Soror Blunt to serve the community as it relates to helping the chapter in a multitude of areas, such as assisting with Breast Cancer Awareness events and one of her favorite events Operation Book Bag.

 

Soror Blunt's pride and joy comes from being a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother to Kennedi and Kyla!  She is excited to call the sorority her extended family while providing change in communities through sisterhood and promoting "Greater Services."

TAISHA LANGFORD |

Fall 2008

Taisha Langford was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Theta Epsilon Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Culver City in Fall 2008.  Soror Langford presently serves as the Western Region Awards Chair, and  Scholarship Award Co-Chair.

 

As a Charter Member of Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Santa Monica, Soror Langford has strived to utilize her proactive work ethic and effective communication skills to promote sisterhood and service for individual Sorors, Chapters, and Affiliates while illustrating consistency in our motto, “Greater Service, Greater Progress.”

CHYNNA LLOYD |

Fall 2020

Soror Chynna Lloyd was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in the Fall of 2020 via the Epsilon Phi Chapter. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Public Health with a minor in Civic and Community Engagement from California State University, Northridge in 2022.

 

Soror Lloyd works as a Residential Life Coordinator in Student Support and Wellbeing for University of Houston. She loves going out to brunch, and one of her favorite foods is 'xxtra hot' Hot cheetos. Soror Lloyd is currently serving in the chapter as a part of the Social Action committee.

RAVEN RUTLEDGE |

Spring 2013

Soror Raven Rutledge was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. via the Pi Phi Chapter in Spring 2013. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from San Francisco State University and a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University. 

 

Soror Rutledge works for the City of Santa Barbara as a Business Analyst. In her free time, you can find Soror Rutledge reading a good book or Gardening. Soror Rutlede is serving the chapter in the capacity of Tamiochus. In addition, she serves as the President of the Faith, Hope and Trust Foundation.

TAKEYSHA KELLY | 

Spring 2023

Soror Takeysha Leniece Kelly was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Spring 2023. She has earned her BS in Biology from California State University, San Bernardino in 2003, her BS in Nursing from Phoenix University 2019, and recently earned her MS in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2023. Soror Kelly is the proud mother of two amazing young men. She is currently working as a medical-surgical nurse and excited about transitioning into her new role as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

 

Soror Kelly is currently serving the chapter in the capacity of Sister Share Committee member to help strengthen the sisterly bonds among her chapters’ soror’s. Soror Kelly has many talents ranging from cooking, baking, crafts, and even fixing cars. Her passions include helping people, health promotion as well as health education. Soror Kelly is excited to be an SGRHO woman and looks forward to working alongside her luxurious soror’s in serving the community and upholding the sorority motto to provide Greater Service and Greater Progress.

JANNA JONES |

Fall 2010

Janna Jones was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Gamma Tau Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Fall 2010.  Soror Jones has previously served as the Chapter's Epistoleus and Sister- Share Coordinator. Her entertainment marketing and branding experience is an intricate role to ensuring the chapter represents and upholds the exceptional standards of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.  Soror Jones' creativity and ability to think outside the box has made the young Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter a notable and recognizable member of their service community, as well as the Mighty Western Region.  

 

Soror Jones attended The University of Arizona where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication (Social and Behavioral Sciences). Her service to the community does not end with Sigma.   Soror Jones is presently employed by the LOS ANGELES COUNTY Department of Public Social Services.   She is a dedicated county professional and Eligibility Supervisor.  

 

In her free time, she enjoys plus-size modeling, spending time with her loved ones and hanging out with her beloved dog Harley Jerome Davidson.

SUMMER WOODS |

Spring 2022

Soror Summer Woods was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Spring 2022. She earned her BA in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University and her MA in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Cal State Fullerton. 


Soror Woods works as a Clinician for the Dept. of Mental Health. She currently serves as the chapters Social Action Chair and on the board for the Faith, Hope & Trust Foundation. In her spare time, Soror Woods enjoys living life as well as running a business, being a fashionista and chef/foodie.
