Faith, Hope, and Trust

Foundation

The Faith, Hope and Trust Foundation (FHTF) was established in 2018 as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization.  The Foundation serves as the charitable and philanthropic arm of the Lambda Rho Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. The foundation provides funds for scholarships to needy but deserving youth and organizes fundraisers and accepts donations year-round to support the community service work of the Lambda Rho Sigma chapter in Santa Monica and the Greater Los Angeles Area.  Contributions made to the Faith Hope and Trust Foundation are tax deductible in accordance with IRS tax regulations.

​Since 2019, the Faith Hope and Trust Foundation has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to support deserving but financially needy college students through the Lambda Rho Sigma Lamp of Learning Scholarship Program.  Our scholarship recipients have attended UC Berkley, Spellman College, and Clark Atlanta University among others.

The mission of the Faith, Hope and Trust Foundation is to develop, improve and elevate the quality of life for women and children in the Santa Monica and Greater Los Angeles Area through community service and charitable giving.

2025

2025 Lamp of Learning Scholarship Competition – Update

The Lambda Rho Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the Faith, Hope, and Trust Foundation, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the 2025 Lamp of Learning Educational Scholarship Competition!

​

This year, we received an impressive number of applications from outstanding high school seniors across Southern California, all demonstrating strong academic performance, leadership potential, and a deep commitment to community service. After careful review, we are excited to award scholarships to eight exceptional students who truly represent the spirit of excellence and perseverance.
